I couldn't stop shaking. What if I didn't get in?
I could see from the first few words of the message "We are pleased" that my fe
ars of getting in shouldn't even exist, but still, I couldn't help it. The fear of rejection still lingered in the back of my mind as I hurriedly called Fraser. (Don't worry. It was a 5 second phone call - literally) He came online about 5 minutes after I told him I had an email from Stirling, and he waited as I read the message.
"We are pleased to inform you that your application was considered. We offer you a place in our MLitt of Publishing Studies program."
Wow. Grad school. Me. Grad school. Scotland.
I couldn't form sentences. My thoughts were words and worries and elation.
I instantly typed to Fraser, "I GOT IN!"
"Yaaaaaas!" he fired back, coupled with emoticon grins and hearts. "Well done, missees! Anne's here, too, and she says congrats and that she cannae wait to see you for some ice skating fun!"
"I'm SO HAPPY!" I said back, unable to keep the smile from my face. I wanted to scream to the world and share my happiness with everyone in it.
While Stirling is my second choice, just knowing I was accepted there makes me SO HAPPY. I am going back to Scotland - this time for a whole year! I am still waiting to hear from Edinburgh Napier to make my final decision, but I know that no matter what I am going to be back there to do my postgraduate studies.
What an amazing day! :)
